iPhone VoIP could be hamstrung by SDK limitation.

iPhone users hoping to use Voice Over IP applications via the new SDK (Software Development Kit) may be in for some disappointment as it emerged that the SDK will only allow one application to run concurrently.

Seemingly, if you had a VoIP app running ‘listening’ for incoming calls over the network, you wouldn’t be able to use any other applications on the phone.

Go!Messenger launches for PSPs

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has launched it’s new Go!Messenger Voice over IP product for both ‘fat’ an ‘slimline’ Playstation Portables.

This should be a bit of a boost for ‘fat’ PSP users who would have been disappointed to discover that the recently released Skype for PSPs would not work on their consoles.

PSP Go!Messenger users will be able to enjoy video and VoIP at 2,500 BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK

Mozilla Messenger could include VoIP

Mozilla’s new messaging project has been announced as Mozilla Messenger.

Mozilla Messenger will replace the current Mozilla Thunderbird email client and will include extended features such as instant messaging and a Lightning-based calendar/organizer.

Mozilla Messenger may also include facilities to interact with SMS and Voice Over IP systems.
